It is with regret that we have had to suspend all Face-to-Face Scouting activities for the time being owing to the ongoing International COVID-19 Pandemic. This suspension is from Tuesday 17th March 2020 until further notice and applies to all Scouting activities (including face-to-face meetings and training for Young Leaders and Adults).

This has occurred following Government advice and a direction by the UK Commissioner for Scouting, Tim Kidd.

We have been busy planning for this possibility over the past few days, and so our Assistant District Commissioners have been putting some resources together for young people to carry on some of their Scouting from home.

Our volunteers are a passionate lot, and we as a #CRAIFamily are gutted by this latest development. We will continue to utilise technology during this down time to get some of our adult training completed (links to our Mandatory Safeguarding and Safety training together with 'Getting Started' modules are on our website here).

We will also seek to arrange online meetings for our Beaver, Cub and Scout Leaders, as well as our Group Scout Leaders and District Team and District Executives. We have a full subscription of Microsoft Office 365 donated to the district by Microsoft, and so if any of our volunteer teams would like to learn more about how to utilise some of that technology to facilitate programme planning, meetings (leaders or exec), training etc at a Sectional/Group/Unit level during these extremely unusual set of circumstances, please do get in touch and we will do what we can to support you.

As ever we are so grateful for the support of our volunteers, and look forward to getting back to normal just as soon as we can.

We will keep our web page up to date with the latest information as we receive it.
